Clara & Carmilla - Aidan Pauer

“When assigned Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ for a class assignment, college student Clara is less than thrilled to be writing about Another Dead White Guy…that is, until she discovers ‘Carmilla’ instead, a 19th century gothic novel about a sapphic vampire of the same name- and it predates ‘Dracula’ by almost 30 years! Losing themselves in a world of fantasy and desire, Clara begins to let go of everyone and everything around them, sinking deeper and deeper into Carmilla’s tempting allure. Their friends Levi, Mira, and Jonny set out to save her from herself- but can they pull Clara back up before it’s too late? Unapologetically queer, ‘Clara & Carmilla’ is a reflection of the demons inside of us all and a reminder that our journeys never really end.”
